Overview

Funding may be used for energy efficient activities and equipment, including:

  • power supply and generation
  • lighting and electrical
  • energy efficient appliances
  • heating, cooling and refrigeration
  • water heating
  • motors, pumps, fans and compressors
  • process automation, controls and optimisation
  • other unique projects/equipment.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, businesses must:

  • have a valid and active Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
  • not be a home-based business
  • not be a public company
  • be able to match at least 50% of eligible costs.

Additionally, businesses must be located and operating in SA, and:

  • be a small business electricity customer (including not-for-profit) that is on a separately metered business tariff with their electricity retailer and consumes less than 160MWh of electricity per year, or (if you do not meet these criteria)
  • have an Australia-wide grouped payroll of less than $1.5 million in 2023-24 (Note the information you provide with your application will be verified against information held by Revenue SA).
