Small businesses impacted by the 2025 Western Queensland surface trough and associated rainfall and flooding.

Overview

Funding is available to help small businesses resume operations, including:

  • meeting essential costs related to re-establishing operations, including wages, salaries, and operational expenses
  • covering rent or rates associated with business premises
  • replacement of stock that was lost, spoiled, or rendered unusable due to the disaster and is not eligible for funding under the Exceptional Disaster Assistance Recovery Grant (EDARG)
  • professional services related to disaster recovery
  • marketing expenses aimed at regaining lost customers and re-establishing the business post-disaster.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, businesses must:

  • have an active Australian business number (ABN) and be registered for goods and services (GST) at the time of the disaster
  • be located in one of the defined disaster areas for the Western Queensland surface trough and associated rainfall and flooding
  • have a turnover of less than$10 million per annum
  • have less than 20 employees
  • demonstrate either a decrease in revenue or an inability to conduct trading activities.
