Funding for VIC timber industry businesses to transition from native timber harvesting

Overview

Funding is available to support businesses directly impacted by the Victorian Forestry Plan to:

• explore, investigate, and implement business transition opportunities
• undertake capital investment in business transition projects
• diversify and reorientate core business activities to support alternative employment opportunities
• develop and implement downstream manufacturing opportunities using alternative fibre
• invest in new opportunities to process or manufacture using plantation timber feedstock and/or alternative fibre.

Check if you can apply

Applicants must:

• have an Australian business number (ABN)
• conduct business operations in Victoria
• meet all industrial relations obligations as an employer in accordance with the National Employment Standards (NES).

You must also have or had one of the following:

• a current VicForests Timber Supply Agreement
• a Forest Produce Licence issued by VicForests
• a current VicForests Agreement for your Timber harvest and/or haulage business.
