Funding for organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours

Overview

This program aims to provide targeted funding for organisers of touring activities that travel throughout Tasmania, contributing to the state’s broader visitor economy.

Funding amounts available are based on a sliding scale attendee numbers and number of nights spent in Tasmania as part of the touring activity.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• be registered for tax purposes in Australia with a continuously active Australian business number on or before 30 June 2025
• be conducting a touring activity between March and November that attracts more than 40 people from outside Tasmania, who stay 5 nights or more in paid commercial accommodation (including hotel, motel, B&B, cabin)
• ensure that at least 40% of overnight stays take place in regional areas
• apply at least 4 weeks prior to the touring activity start date.
