NT Aboriginal owned tourism related businesses.

Overview

Support is available to help tourism related businesses access consultancy services, which may be used to help them navigate and access potential funding opportunities.

This initiative will focus on support for new or enhanced existing product offerings and experiences, including:

  • new product capital
  • enhanced visitor experiences including infrastructure improvements
  • business development through improvement in systems and processes, e.g. booking systems
  • workforce development
  • marketing that supports potential engagement with new markets and trade distribution partners.

There are 2 levels of consultancy services available:

  • Level 1 – advice and initial assistance about potential funding availability, up to a maximum of 2 hours
  • Levels 2 – funding application preparation service, including assistance in writing submissions up to a maximum of 16 hours.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  • greater than 50% Aboriginal owned
  • an Aboriginal owned business or organisation located and operating in the NT
  • legally constituted
  • Australian registered.

If applying as an active trading Aboriginal tourism business, you must:

  • have a current Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing or have applied for one at the time of application
  • be a member of a peak industry body
  • employ Territory residents.
