Funding for operators of landfill and resource recovery facilities in TAS

Overview

Funding is available to help facilities with the cost of modifying systems, processes and infrastructure to support:

• the effective collection and management of waste data
• compliance with reporting obligations under the Waste and Resource Recovery Act 2022.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• operate a facility that is defined as a landfill or resource recovery facility as defined in the Act
• be an Australian-registered business
• have an Australian business number (ABN)
• be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
• be operating legally in accordance with relevant environmental licences and legal conditions
• hold appropriate insurances.
