Calling all businesses in the hospitality sector
Last year, Australian Consumers Ministers voted in support of introducing mandatory country of origin labelling for seafood in hospitality settings using the Australian-Imported-Mixed (AIM) model.
Country of origin labelling for seafood aims to:
- provide consumers clear and consistent information about the origin of the seafood they purchase at hospitality venues
- improve consumers’ ability to make informed decisions about their purchasing.
You do not need to make any changes yet, but if you run a business in the hospitality sector in Australia or sell prepared dishes containing seafood for immediate consumption, we want to hear from you.
