The National Small Business Strategy outlines how different levels of government will work together to better support Australia’s nearly 2.6 million small businesses. The strategy was developed in close collaboration between the Commonwealth, state and territory governments as well as key stakeholders.

It provides a framework for effective coordination across government to:

  • elevate small businesses in government decision making
  • complement existing work in state and territories
  • inform policy making to deliver better outcomes for small businesses.

The strategy is a commitment to drive a coordinated, collaborative and cohesive national approach to small business policies and support.
