There have been some recent changes to COVID-19 business restrictions in highly impacted states and territories as lockdowns begin to lift.

NSW (from October 18 2021):

  • Gyms, indoor recreation and sporting facilities open with density limits.
  • Non-critical retail open with density limits.
  • Hospitality open with density limit, including nightclubs.
  • Entertainment facilities (including cinemas and theatres) reopen.
  • From 1 November: bookings for hospitality venues will no longer be capped.

ACT (from October 29 2021):

  • From 22 October 2021: All retail open.
  • Hospitality and licenced venues, gaming & gambling venues, cafes & restaurants, gyms, fitness & sport, play centres & amusement centres, community centres, facilities & youth centres, real estate & auctions all open with density limits.
  • Food courts open for seated services.
  • Cinemas, galleries, museums and outdoor attractions reopen with limits. 

VIC (from October 29 2021):

  • Pubs, restaurants and cafes can open for seated service only.
  • Hairdressing, beauty, personal care open with density limits.
  • Indoor community sport open for minimum number required.
  • All retail open.
