Funding for high-potential regional and rural Victorian tourism initiatives

Overview

Funding is available for activities that drive the investment-readiness of a tourism project in regional and rural Victoria.

There are 2 funding streams:

• Stream 1: Testing the Concept – Funding of between $20,000 and $500,000 for a project to test the concept of a new infrastructure project, such as feasibility studies, master plans or business cases.
• Stream 2: Preparing for Investment – Funding of between $20,000 and $500,000 to prepare a combination of materials to ensure that a project is ready for infrastructure investment. These could include a detailed design package, funding strategy, or stakeholder and community engagement plans.

Eligible activities include, but are not limited to:

• business case development
• feasibility studies and master planning
• detailed design
• funding strategy
• pilot projects and market testing
• investigations (e.g. geotechnical, heritage)
• quantity surveying
• operational viability studies.

Applicants must be one of the following types of entities to apply:

• private sector proponents
• local and state government entities
• incorporated associations
• not-for-profit organisations, including community groups that are an incorporated body, cooperative or association
• Traditional Owner Corporations, organisations and groups, and Aboriginal-owned
  businesses.

Applicants must also:

• have an Australian business number (ABN)
• be financially solvent.
