Overview
Landholders can choose one of two possible subsidy options:
- 60% subsidy for weed wipers/wick wipers to the maximum return value of $5,500 (GST inclusive)
- 50% subsidy for spray units, boom sprays, spray equipment attachments, knapsacks, other weed control equipment to the maximum return value of $4,400 (GST inclusive).

The equipment subsidy will be released to Kangaroo Island landholders in two tiers and is restricted to one subsidy per property.
To qualify for tier 1, you must:
- be a landholder who is within the fire scar of the 2019/2020 bushfires
- have not previously received a weeds equipment subsidy from PIRSA
- have evidence of either pasture weeds, fire responsive weeds, declared weeds or weeds of national significance on your property.
