Overview

Funding is available to support the costs associated with participating in a professional development opportunity, including:

  • conference registration fees
  • trade show fees
  • travel and accommodation expenses.

There are 2 tiers of funding:

  • tier 1 – intrastate: Professional development opportunities that involve travelling in Tasmania (intrastate) and must include one overnight stay outside your local government area
  • tier 2 – interstate and overseas: Professional development opportunities that involve travelling in Australia (interstate) or overseas (international).

Businesses or organisations may nominate up to 4 aboriginal employees or members of their organisation to participate in the opportunity.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, businesses or organisations must be:

  • operating in, or providing services to, the tourism or hospitality industry in Tasmania
  • registered for tax purposes and have an Australian business number (ABN).

To be eligible, the professional development opportunity needs to:

  • benefit your business or organisation through sharing knowledge, building capacity, or fostering strategic opportunities
  • take place in Tasmania, interstate, or overseas between 1 August 2024 and 30 June 2025.
