TAS tourism and hospitality businesses.
Overview
Funding is available to support the costs associated with participating in a professional development opportunity, including:
- conference registration fees
- trade show fees
- travel and accommodation expenses.
There are 2 tiers of funding:
- tier 1 – intrastate: Professional development opportunities that involve travelling in Tasmania (intrastate) and must include one overnight stay outside your local government area
- tier 2 – interstate and overseas: Professional development opportunities that involve travelling in Australia (interstate) or overseas (international).
Businesses or organisations may nominate up to 4 aboriginal employees or members of their organisation to participate in the opportunity.
Check if you can apply
To be eligible, businesses or organisations must be:
- operating in, or providing services to, the tourism or hospitality industry in Tasmania
- registered for tax purposes and have an Australian business number (ABN).
To be eligible, the professional development opportunity needs to:
- benefit your business or organisation through sharing knowledge, building capacity, or fostering strategic opportunities
- take place in Tasmania, interstate, or overseas between 1 August 2024 and 30 June 2025.
