Overview

Funding is available to support solutions that make the biggest difference and have the greatest impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of Victorian workers in the manufacturing industry.

Projects will deliver influential and sustainable OHS improvement outcomes targeting the manufacturing sector, such as:

  • new or improved risk controls to prevent workplace harm
  • industry, employers and workers having the information, knowledge and capabilities required to effectively prevent and manage workplace harm
  • improved awareness and education of high-risk hazards in the manufacturing sector
  • improved insights or data relating to new or emerging prevention interventions or innovations to reduce the risk of workplace harm
  • innovative approaches to enhancing safety culture and solutions to improve occupational health and safety in the manufacturing workforce
  • establishing strong partnerships between industry, unions and workplaces, encouraging cross-collaboration between large and small-medium businesses across urban, regional, and rural areas.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be from an organisation registered for goods and services tax (GST) and an Australian business number (ABN)
  • align the funding principles
  • be undertaking a project that impacts the health safety and wellbeing of Victorian workers
  • demonstrate the necessary expertise, resources and capacity to undertake, manage and evaluate the proposed initiative
  • be financially capable to deliver the proposed initiative.
